Ben Towers

Ben Towers is a successful entrepreneur, tech innovator, and international speaker who started his business journey at just 11 years old. When a family friend challenged him to build a website, Ben had no prior experience in business or web development. Using YouTube tutorials, he taught himself how to create a professional website. The project earned him £50, sparking a passion for entrepreneurship and freelance web development. By the age of 13, Ben had formally launched Towers Design, effectively running his own business while balancing school.

Towers Design quickly expanded beyond website development into a full-service digital agency, offering web design, social media marketing and digital strategy. As demand grew, Ben began outsourcing work to freelancers, gaining national recognition for his achievements at a young age. His self-taught skills and entrepreneurial drive allowed him to work with major brands including Amazon Echo, Pot Noodle, and NHS Give Blood.

After completing his GCSEs, Ben moved the Towers Design team into a dedicated office, focusing on business growth and client delivery. To manage the business while remaining in full-time education, he became the first person in the UK to employ himself as an apprentice. He also successfully lobbied the banks to open a business account under the age of 18.

Ben’s remarkable success led to numerous television appearances and invitations to speak at conferences worldwide, sharing insights on entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and youth business leadership. These opportunities also enabled him to invest in other disruptive companies, expanding his business portfolio.

In April 2017, Ben completed a multi-million-pound merger between Towers Design and Zest The Agency, creating one of Kent’s largest marketing agencies. He later exited the business, after which he advised both the UK and New Zealand governments, contributing to the UK’s first Youth Entrepreneurship Review and initiatives on the future of AI strategy.

Ben is now the founder of Happl, an AI-powered employee benefits platform serving global companies. With offices across Europe and the USA, Happl helps employers provide personalised benefits using AI, while streamlining administration and compliance.
