Ben is a mental health campaigner, best-selling author, and social media influencer, recognized as one of the most inspiring young male voices in the UK. His journey began in 2018, at just 17 years old, when he tragically lost his 15-year-old brother, Sam, to suicide—a life-altering event that shaped his mission to transform mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

At only 23, Ben is a passionate advocate for mental health education, particularly in schools. His award-winning efforts started with a petition to make mental health first aid a mandatory part of teacher training, empowering educators to support students effectively. Garnering over 300,000 signatures, the petition led to collaborations with the UK government and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, driving impactful change.
In April 2022, Ben published his debut book, This Book Could Save Your Life – Breaking the Silence Around the Mental Health Emergency, with Harper Collins. He has also contributed to high-profile publications, including The Sunday Times Magazine, where he addressed critical topics like the dangers of Andrew Tate.

Ben’s media presence is equally impressive. In February 2023, he appeared on Snapchat’s I Want To Get Better, interviewed by Jameela Jamil. He later made his presenting debut on BBC One’s Morning Live and Sunday Morning Live, hosting a three-part series for Mental Health Awareness Week in May 2024. His coverage spans diverse topics, from body dysmorphia in men to suicide prevention across religious and ethical contexts, children’s mental health safeguarding, and the rise in road worker attacks.

Ben has also featured on ITV’s Lorraine, the Private Parts podcast for Mental Health Week, and Dr. Alex’s Stompcast Podcast. His thought leadership extends to keynote speeches for major brands, where he champions vulnerability and openness, advising leaders on workplace mental health strategies.

As a member of Wagamama’s brand board, Ben collaborates with their CEO and directors to advance sustainability, DEI, and mental health policies, positioning the company as an industry leader. His commitment to fostering long-term, meaningful partnerships underscores his belief in driving systemic change.
