Charlie Stayt is the presenter of BBC Breakfast on BBC One, broadcasting live to over 7 million viewers daily. On the famous red sofa, he has covered major breaking news stories and interviewed a wide range of notable figures, from Prime Ministers and business leaders to Hollywood actors, sports personalities, music stars, and inspirational fundraisers.

Before joining the BBC, Charlie was a correspondent and news anchor with ITN’s Channel Five News, where he led live coverage of the 9/11 terrorist attack. His extensive experience spans various television programming areas. At Channel Five, he hosted the reality show Jailbreak, live studio debate programs, and live paranormal investigations with Carol Vorderman. He has also appeared in Dictionary Corner on Countdown.

Charlie’s talents extend beyond news journalism and presenting. On BBC Breakfast, he has sung with US tenor Noah Stewart, had his cooking judged by Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry, and cycled the Velodrome coached by Olympic Gold medallist Ed Clancy. He has also competed in Total Wipe Out and danced in front of 12 million viewers for Children in Need.
