Chris Beardshaw
- Award Winning Garden Designer
- Gardener's World, Hidden Gardens & The Flying Gardener
- Panellist on BBC Radio 4 Gardeners' Question Time
'Lively', 'entertaining' and 'hugely educational' is how people describe the talks Chris provides to gardening clubs and horticultural societies across the UK.
Chris’ desire to communicate his passion and knowledge for plants and landscape design began with training in horticulture at Pershore College, followed by several years conducting research and development at horticultural firms. A love of art and design subsequently led him to university to study for a degree and post grad in Landscape Architecture, making him one of the country’s few designers and presenters to combine both disciplines.
His career in TV began in 1998 after his natural energy and enthusiasm as a lecturer was spotted by a TV company. Chris combined his teaching and TV presenting for several years but eventually he left full time teaching, setting up his own Landscape Design and Consultancy business in Gloucestershire. He has worked with private and commercial clients on a wide range of projects across the UK and internationally, and also makes time to film TV projects, as well as write books and give talks.
