Declan Curry

Declan Curry is a highly respected journalist, TV presenter and speaker, mainly working within the business, economic and financial sectors.

After a long and distinguished career as a Business Correspondent with the BBC - on both radio and television – Declan is now a business commentator for Global Radio and frequently appears on its 24-hour news service, LBC News, and its entertainment services such as Classic FM.

He has presented the business debate programme Show Me The Money on the BBC News Channel and BBC Radio 5 Live’s finance programme On the Money.

Declan worked for the BBC's News Channel from the channel's inception in 1997, reporting on financial and economic issues and on news stories breaking at the London Stock Exchange and at other British economic institutions and corporations. He has also worked in a similar capacity for BBC World News, Radio 5 Live, and Radio 4, and is well remembered for his appearances on the Breakfast programme on BBC One.

He later hosted the business debate programme Show Me The Money on the BBC News Channel.

In 2008, Declan began a new role as presenter of BBC 2's Working Lunch, alongside Naga Munchetty . Declan was a business presenter on BBC News 24. He has also broadcast for the BBC’s international news channel, BBC World, and completed a two-year stint as a daily business commentator in the United States for ABC News.

Declan also presented BBC Radio 5 Live’s early morning business programme, Wake up to Money. He produced and reported for various programmes, including Radio 4’s personal finance flagship Moneybox, Radio 5 Live’s Financial World Tonight, and World Service Radio’s World Business Report.

He has written in newspapers and magazines in the UK, Europe and the United States. He has won several awards for his broadcasting and is an honorary doctor of Middlesex University.
