Dr Amir Khan is a renowned full-time GP, best-selling author, and respected TV personality. His book How (Not) To Have an Arranged Marriage is a Sunday Times Bestseller, and he released a children's book, How Families are Made, in 2024. Another of Amir’s top-selling books, The Doctor Will See You Now (Ebury), offers a heart-warming glimpse into the highs and lows of life as a GP. He is also a regular contributor to Gardener’s World, BBC Wildlife Magazine, Grazia, and Good Housekeeping.
A familiar face on British television, Amir serves as the resident doctor on ITV’s Lorraine & Good Morning Britain. He has hosted popular health-focused programs such as Dr Amir’s Sugar Crash (Channel 5) and You Are What You Eat (with Trisha Goddard, Channel 5). His expertise and charm captivated audiences when he first appeared in GP’s Behind Closed Doors (Channel 5).
