Emma Barnett is a renowned broadcaster, journalist, and author. In May 2024, she joined the BBC's flagship breakfast news show, the Today programme, taking on a broader role across BBC TV and News, including documentaries and exclusive interviews.

Until April 2024, Emma hosted Woman’s Hour on BBC Radio 4, the world's longest-running women’s programme, transforming it into the BBC’s most downloaded podcast. She has twice been named the UK’s best speech radio presenter by the ARIAS. Known for her warm yet forensic interview style, Emma has interviewed a diverse range of guests, including queens, prime ministers, pop stars, and political prisoners.

In September 2023, Emma co-founded Colour Your Streets, the largest local and bespoke colouring book company in the UK, with her husband. They create bespoke colouring books for neighbourhoods, cities, villages, hotels, museums, and individuals.

In 2021, Emma launched a weekly interview programme on Bloomberg’s streaming platform, Quicktake, and its international TV channel. Each episode features a high-profile guest sharing their vision.

Emma hosted The Emma Barnett Show, a fast-paced daily three-hour programme on BBC Radio 5 Live for five years, interviewing key figures shaping our times. Until 2022, she presented the BBC's flagship current affairs TV programme Newsnight for three politically eventful years. Emma has also fronted the BBC's election coverage, including the marathon eight-hour official radio election programme in 2019 and BBC Question Time - Under 30s Election 2019.

Emma writes a weekend column for the i newspaper. Before her full-time broadcast career, she worked at The Daily Telegraph, where she was the technology and digital media editor and created its award-winning women's section. In September 2019, Emma published her first book, "Period. It's About Bloody Time," discussing the importance of openly talking about periods.
