Emma Vardy is an award-winning BBC Correspondent and presenter with extensive experience covering major stories across UK and US politics, business, technology, sport and entertainment. Known for her clarity, warmth and authoritative reporting style, Emma is a versatile broadcaster regularly trusted with some of the BBC’s most high-profile news output.

From 2023 to 2025, Emma served as BBC Los Angeles Correspondent, reporting on major US political, cultural and technological developments. Her coverage included the US Presidential Election, the Trump presidency, Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race, the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, the global tech outage, LA wildfires, and major entertainment events including the Oscars, Emmys and Grammys. She also contributed exclusive reporting for The Sunday Times, including interviews and features with global figures such as Céline Dion.
Previously, as BBC Ireland Correspondent, Emma was widely praised for her reporting on the political and social complexities of Northern Ireland, including coverage of paramilitary violence and peace process developments. Earlier in her career, she reported from Westminster, Washington DC and Ukraine, building a reputation for delivering clear, insightful journalism from fast-moving and high-pressure environments.
