Geeta is a widely respected journalist, presenter and event facilitator with over 15 years’ experience across television, radio and live events. Renowned for her warm, engaging presence and deep-rooted expertise she has worked extensively with the BBC, Sky Arts and other major broadcasters, delivering a broad range of content spanning current affairs, cultural programming and documentary storytelling.

After studying English Literature and Theatre Studies at the University of Leeds, Geeta completed a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism. Her early passion for performance and narrative has informed a distinctive journalistic style—combining depth and clarity with empathy and accessibility.

Her broadcast credits include BBC Sunday Morning Live, BBC Sunday Politics, Inside Out and BBC Breakfast. She has reported for BBC East Midlands Today and BBC Radio 4’s Front Row, and has fronted arts programming such as Opening Night and Civilisations Stories: The Art of Mining. Geeta also contributed to Sky Arts’ Music of India. Much of her work explores the intersections of identity, culture and community, with a strong commitment to widening access to the arts.

Beyond the screen, Geeta is in high demand as a live host and facilitator. She has chaired compelling conversations with the likes of Dame Mary Berry and Lionel Shriver, and delivered keynote sessions for organisations including the Derby Museum Trust. Her stage presence and professionalism have made her a trusted host at events such as those produced by Fane Productions, WOW Festival and Curve Theatre.

In addition, Geeta is a trained yoga teacher and passionate advocate for wellbeing, diversity and cultural understanding. Her work has explored subjects such as Muslim sex education, the spiritual roots of yoga and the transformative power of community storytelling. She is also a trustee of Writing East Midlands and a patron of the Rosie May Foundation, supporting vulnerable women and families in South Asia.
