Jason “Foxy” Fox is a former Royal Marine Commando, Special Forces Sergeant, Explorer, Adventurer & Investigate Journalist.
Jason joined the Royal Marine Commandos at 16, serving for 10 years, after which he passed the gruelling selection process for the Special Forces, serving with the Special Boat Service. He’s planned and led operations including hostage rescue, counter terrorism, counter insurgency, maritime counter terrorism, surveillance, body guarding and counter narcotic missions.
Jason also trained as a combat swimmer, demolitions expert, Special Forces dog handler and jungle survival expert. He left the Special Forces in 2012, moving into the TV and Film industry, initially by using his wealth of experience in the Special Forces to support production crews who were working in environmentally hostile areas, such as the jungle, the arctic or the desert. It was during this period that Jason was one of the divers that found the lost treasure of Captain Kidd – one of the most
prolific pirates of the 17th century – just off the coast of Madagascar.
In October 2015 Jason Fox also starred and designed the course on starred and designed the course on Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins, as one of the Special Force instructors, as one of the Special Force instructors, in which he put delegates through their paces.
February 2016 saw Jason take on The Atlantic. Here was an attempt to beat the world record for the fastest crossing in a rowing boast. It was 4000 miles from Portugal to Venezuela. The team consisted of Jason and four others, Mathew Bennett, Oliver Bailey, Aldo Kane and also Ross Johnson. The crossing was to take around 50 days with all the proceeds raised going to the NSPCC.
In 2018, Jason presented ‘The Real Narco’s where he confronted the kind of criminals he once targeted. Meeting cocaine cooks, cartel enforcers, underworld kingpins and traffickers to understand the complexities of the billion-pound narcotics industry.
