Jo Malone CBE, widely celebrated as an "English scent maverick," is a globally renowned fragrance entrepreneur known for her innovative approach to scent creation. Her journey began as a facial therapist in London, where her passion for fragrance blossomed while running a home-based skincare clinic. Her handmade potions quickly gained attention, leading to the launch of the iconic Jo Malone London brand.

After selling Jo Malone London to Estée Lauder Companies in 1999, Jo remained as Creative Director until 2006. She has since parted ways with the brand and is no longer affiliated with Jo Malone London or its products.

In 2011, Jo Malone CBE introduced her second fragrance venture, Jo Loves, a brand built on creativity, integrity and innovation. Offering a wide array of luxury fragrances, bath and body products, candles, and lifestyle scents, Jo Loves is inspired by personal memories and emotional connections. The brand continues to expand globally, captivating fragrance lovers with its unique storytelling and sensory experiences.

Jo’s creative process is deeply intuitive, often sparked by everyday scents such as her husband’s cologne, fresh linen, or family holidays. Her ability to transform these moments into signature fragrances has earned her a loyal international following.

Jo’s contributions to the beauty and fragrance industry have been widely recognised. She was awarded an MBE in 2008 and a CBE in 2018 for her services to the British economy. Her personal journey from growing up in government-subsidised housing to overcoming dyslexia and breast cancer underscores her resilience and entrepreneurial spirit.

In 2016, Jo was inducted into the World Retail Congress Hall of Fame, one of the highest honours in global retail. In 2023, Jo and her husband Gary relocated to Dubai, UAE, embracing new opportunities in the Middle East. Together, they founded Jo Malone CBE Creative Consultancy, a venture focused on exploring “The Five Senses of Jo” through innovative business projects. The first of these, Jo Vodka, launched in 2025.
