Jo Malone
- Entrepreneur in the Beauty Industry
- Founder of Jo Malone Perfume
- Inspirational Women in Business Speaker
Jo Malone is a household name within the beauty and lifestyle sector, having established her own highly popular brand of innovative fragrances, scented candles and associated fashion accessories. Often seen on our TV screens, she is perhaps best known for co-hosting (with Nick Leslau) the BBC1 series High Street Dreams, which helped eight individuals as they attempted to launch new products.
Jo opened her first perfume store in 1994 at London’s Walton Street. Recreating the atmosphere of a French perfumer's studio, this unique and charming shop quickly grew in popularity, so much so that five years later Jo was able to sell the business to the world renowned Estee Lauder.
Jo remained Chairman and continued to develop new, innovative products, constantly challenging convention by employing revolutionary concepts. She continued to spearhead the worldwide positioning of the Jo Malone brand until 2006, when she retired from the business.
In March 2011, Jo announced the launch of Jo Loves, a new fragrance brand inspired by influences personal to her, from ingredients to people and moments in time. Her creative approach also encompasses a love of colour, and the bold red and black branding of Jo Loves creates a smart and stylish statement.
In 2008, Jo was honoured with an MBE for her services to the beauty industry. In 2015, she was the "castaway" on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs.
A highly successful entrepreneur, Jo Malone’s considerable experience in the retail world combines with her natural charm as a presenter to make her a superb choice as an After-dinner Speaker, Motivational Speaker or Events Host.
