Jo Salter MBE

Jo Salter MBE is the UK’s first female fast-jet pilot and a pioneering leader in aviation, defence and business. Joining the Royal Air Force in 1994, Jo broke barriers in a traditionally male-dominated field, flying the Tornado GR1 aircraft on active missions and demonstrating exceptional skill, resilience and leadership under pressure. Her trailblazing career has inspired countless women to pursue careers in aviation, defence and STEM.

After leaving the RAF, Jo transitioned into the corporate world, applying her experience of decision-making under pressure, teamwork, and strategic thinking to business leadership and advisory roles. She is also a sought-after motivational speaker sharing powerful lessons on overcoming challenges, embracing change and thriving in high-performance environments.
