June Sarpong OBE is a distinguished broadcaster, author and diversity & inclusion campaigner with more than 25 years of experience in media. Born in Newham, London, to Ghanaian parents, she began her career at Kiss 100 and then presented on MTV UK & Ireland before becoming a household name on Channel 4’s T4. Over the years, she has appeared on flagship programmes such as Loose Women and Sky News’ The Pledge.
In 2019, she made history by becoming the BBC’s first Director of Creative Diversity, leading the development and implementation of strategies to improve on-screen representation and inclusive content.
Alongside her broadcasting work, June is a prolific author. Her books include Diversify: Six Degrees of Integration, The Power of Women, and The Power of Privilege, in which she explores systemic inequality, social justice, race, gender, and inclusion.
She is also the co-founder of the WIE Network (Women: Inspiration & Enterprise), a global initiative that brings together women leaders to inspire change.
