Karen Darke MBE is a Paralympic champion, adventurer, and inspirational speaker renowned for her extraordinary feats of endurance and resilience. After a life-changing cycling accident in 1995 left her paralysed from the waist down, Karen transformed adversity into opportunity, becoming one of the world’s leading adaptive athletes.

Karen has competed at the highest levels in *Paralympic cycling and handcycling, winning gold at the 2012 London Paralympics, silver at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics and multiple medals at the UCI Para-cycling World Championships. Beyond cycling, she is an adventurer who has kayaked across Greenland, climbed the Alps on a handbike and skied across the Arctic, breaking records and demonstrating the power of determination.
