Kate Muir is a women’s health campaigner, filmmaker, and author who has played a key role in transforming the menopause conversation in the UK. She wrote Everything You Need to Know About the Menopause (2022) and produced two impactful Channel 4 documentaries on menopause, featuring Davina McCall, which have led to a significant increase in the use of hormone replacement therapy. Kate also produced Davina McCall’s Pill Revolution and authored Everything You Need to Know About the Pill, exploring the impact of hormones on mental health.
A dedicated advocate for women's health, Kate delivers workshops and talks for corporate and educational audiences, aiming to break taboos and include male allies in the discussion. She has worked with organizations like Lloyds, Bloomberg, and the NHS, and spoken at major universities and events like the Hay Literary Festival.
In addition to her campaigning, Kate is an accomplished writer with three novels and a seven-year tenure as Chief Film Critic for The Times. She has been actively involved in women’s rights movements, working with Time’s Up and The Menopause Charity, and has spoken to parliament on menopause and dementia.
