Michael Pawlyn
- Architect & Founder of Exploration Architecture
- Thought Leader in Regenerative Design
- Keynote Speaker
One of the lead architects on the famous and much vaunted Eden Project, Michael Pawlyn is a passionate advocate of sustainable architecture, taking his inspiration from nature.
Through his company Exploration, which he established in 2007, Michael has built a reputation as a thought-provoking leader in "biomimicry" - the design and production of materials, structures and systems that are modelled on biological entities and processes. He has delivered numerous talks on the subject, and on related topics, to high profile institutions including The Royal Society Of Arts, Google's Annual Zeitgeist Conference and at The Royal Geographical Society's Annual Conference. His book Biomimicry In Architecture was published by the Royal Institute Of British Architects in 2007.
As part of his work on The Eden Project, Michael was responsible for leading the design of the Warm Temperate and Humid Tropics Biomes - awe-inspiring domes that house huge tropical trees under carefully controlled conditions.
Michael Pawlyn makes an inspired choice as an After-dinner Speaker, especially at environmentally themed Events. To book him, contact Prime Performers for more information, either through our online booking enquiry form or by calling us on 020 3500 3331
