With in-depth knowledge accrued during a long career at the cutting-edge of the motor sports business, Richard West a highly regarded motivational speaker who specialises in teamwork, leadership and the challenges that occur in fast moving business environments.

Richard has worked in the motor sports industry since 1979, rapidly rise through the ranks to make his mark in the ultra-competitive world of Formula 1, where he worked for the McLaren, Arrows and Williams teams in senior commercial roles, liaising closely with many F1 greats, such as Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher. He also held the position of Main Board Director of the TWR Jaguar Team, winners of the classic Le Mans and Daytona 24 hour races, and latterly he was the overall Administrator of the British Touring Car Championship. has worked

During his career, Richard has raised in excess of $165 million in sponsorship, negotiating contracts with companies such as Shell, Rothmans, Sanyo Electric, SEGA Computer Games, Mirage Ceramica, Green Flag, the AA and Tetrosyl.

In 2005, Richard and co-authors, Professor Mark Jenkins and Ken Pasternak, published the first of three editions of Performance At The Limit - Business Lessons From Formula 1 Motor Racing, which draws comparisons between the challenging world of F1 and today's business environment to demonstrate how lessons gained in motor racing can be applied in the corporate world generally.
