- Former All Blacks Captain
- World Cup Rugby Speaker
- Motivational, Leadership & Teamwork Speaker
Sean Fitzpatrick is a rugby legend, playing a world record 63 consecutive test matches for New Zealand and Captaining the All Blacks for 51 tests.
Sean made his international debut in 1986 and went on to play 347 first class games, earning a reputation as a tough and uncompromising hooker. He was appointed All Black Captain in 1992, the crowning point of a stunning career in first class rugby. He was awarded the New Zealand Order of Merit by the Governor General in 1997.
Sean is still very much involved in rugby, reporting and writing columns on the sport for various international publications, as well as being a pundit on Sky Sports. He is also the Vice-Chairman and Academy Member of the Laureus Sports Foundation.
A truly inspirational Motivational Speaker, Sean draws parallels between on-field rugby tactics and key business decision-making and planning, providing examples of how lessons learned on the field can be successfully applied in a corporate environment. As an accomplished speaker with extensive media experience, Sean knows exactly how to get the best out of audiences with his stimulating and often amusing presentations.
Sean is an outstanding speaker on motivation and team building. His speech entitled ‘Be as successful as you can be’ encourages organisations to “benchmark themselves against the world’s best” and encourages continuous learning at both organisational and individual level.
Sean provides leadership and motivational advice to senior global management at companies that include Microsoft, Renaissance Capital, Hewlett Packard, Nestle, General Motors and Heinz.
