Suzanne Virdee is a journalist and television presenter, and is currently the newsreader for ITV's early evening programme, News London. She is also a correspondent for ITV's Lunchtime News.
Suzanne's career began in the West Midlands area as local newspaper reporter, subsequently working at ITV Central News as a reporter, then presenter and producer. In 2001, she joined the BBC's Midlands Today programme, becoming a main presenter alongside Nick Owen. Her work as a news anchor on Midlands Today earned her an NTA Best Presenter Award.
During her TV career, Suzanne has reported from Westminster Abbey on the funeral of the late Princess Diana, interviewed the former Home Secretary, David Blunkett, about the controversial ID card scheme, and presented a special programme on the demise of the Birmingham car maker MG Rover.
In the charity area, Suzanne is a director of the Dance Xchange, a company encouraging youngsters of all backgrounds and abilities to learn to dance. She is also an ambassador for The Birmingham Crisis Centre, a charity helping victims of domestic violence.
A highly experienced TV presenter, Suzanne is much in demand as an Awards Host and Conference Facilitator, bringing a professional, engaging presence to any event.
