Tim Campbell is a businessman who speaks passionately about the benefits that business can bring to everyone, not just high fliers. From a humble background himself, Tim believes that business is the catalyst that can change and enrich lives, whether it be by creating wealth and employment or changing the circumstances of people across the world.
Tim is probably best known as a winning contestant on the BBC's The Apprentice, but the show itself was only one of a number of stepping stones that Tim has taken in his life as an entrepreneur. Amongst his many other achievements is the Bright Ideas Trust, a charitable organisation that encourages young budding entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds to start business ventures, by giving them greater access to start-up finance, real business mentors and professional services advisors. Bright Ideas Trust has generated a number of successful start-ups, garnering much excitement and interest from companies and innovative young entrepreneurs alike.
Tim is often asked to comment on a variety of topical business matters and regularly appears on television as well as having his opinion voiced in leading newspapers. Expounding upon his own experience as successful owner of a small business, he co-authored What’s Your Bright Idea?, which in 2010 become one of Amazon’s Top 10 business books. His roles as London’s Ambassador for Training and Enterprise and the UK Government Secretary of State’s Enterprise Advisor allow him to further inspire and motivate audiences both in London and across the country.
Tim was awarded the MBE for Enterprise Culture in the 2012 New Year’s Honours List.
