Tom Parker Bowles is an award-winning food critic, writer, and broadcaster with a passion for all things food. He has an extensive background in top quality food journalism, and currently serves as both the Mail on Sunday's restaurant critic and as Food Editor of Esquire Magazine. Tom is also a Contributing Editor for Conde Nast Traveller (UK) and Departures (US), and the Creative Director of the Evening Standard London Food Month. A key voice in the industry, he's an Ambassador for GREAT, promoting British trade abroad. Tom has published several bestselling books on food, cooking and travel. As a writer, he is known for his distinctive prose style, which combines pure visceral pleasure (and an absolute obsession with food) with travel and the historical context of each and every dish. This approach is behind the award-winning Full English: A Journey Through the British and their Food (Ebury), which was named 'Best Work on British Food' at The Guild of Food Writers Awards (2010). Let's Eat Meat (Pavilion Books) and Let's Eat - Recipes from my Kitchen Notebook (Pavilion Books) offer a compendium of favourite recipes from his own kitchen. Tom's other titles include E is for Eating: An Alphabet of Greed (Long Barn Books) and The Year of Eating Dangerously (Ebury), the latter being described by Nigel Slater as 'Erudite, funny, clever, and quietly informative.' He also loves to cook, and in 2016, he collaborated with cultural and foodie institution Fortnum & Mason to write Fortnum & Mason: The Cook Book, which has featured on the Sunday Times Bestseller List.

Tom is also a familiar face on both UK and international television. He's recently finished filming the riotous reality food series Family Food Fight for Australian TV networks, for whom he made The Hotplate in 2015. Closer to home, he is perhaps best known for his appearances on This Morning, Market Kitchen, Masterchef, and the Simon Cowell-devised primetime show Food, Glorious Food for ITV.
