Vicky Gosling OBE is an internationally respected motivational speaker, inclusive leadership expert and high-performance executive whose career spans elite sport, senior military command and global financial technology. With more than two decades of leadership experience, Vicky is known for building winning cultures, removing barriers to performance and delivering measurable social impact at scale. Leadership in Global Sport & The Invictus Games

Vicky has played a defining role in the global success of the Invictus Games movement. She currently serves as Chair of the Birmingham 2027 Invictus Games, having previously been Chief Executive Officer of the 2016 Games in Orlando and Military Executive Lead for the inaugural London 2014 Games. Through her leadership, 14 nations and more than 400 wounded, injured and sick service personnel competed in the first Games, establishing a powerful legacy of recovery and rehabilitation through sport. Her work has positioned her as a leading voice on inclusive culture, resilience and leadership with purpose on a global stage.

Senior Military Leadership – Royal Air Force

Vicky completed 21 years of distinguished service in the Royal Air Force, rising to the prestigious rank of Group Captain. Her military career included multiple operational deployments around the world and senior command responsibility in complex environments. Prior to the inaugural Invictus Games, she served as Base Support Commander of a helicopter base in Oxfordshire, leading 2,000 personnel and managing significant operational and strategic demands. Her time in uniform shaped her expertise in resilient leadership, high-performance team culture, decision-making under pressure and leading through change.

Chief Executive – GB Snowsport

As Chief Executive of GB Snowsport, Vicky has overseen one of the most successful eras in British winter sport history. Under her leadership, British athletes have delivered record-breaking performances, including 10 World Champions and 18 Crystal Globes. She has transformed performance systems, strengthened athlete pathways and embedded a culture built on ambition, accountability and belief, driving sustainable success on the world stage.

Board-Level & Corporate Leadership

Vicky’s leadership extends beyond sport into global business and financial inclusion. She serves as Chair of the Invictus Games 2027 and Chair of GB Surfing, is a Board Director of The Jockey Club at Aintree Racecourse, Custodian of the Rugby Centurions, and a Board Member of the British Olympic Association. Her governance expertise spans high-performance sport, social impact and international strategy.

Previously, Vicky was a Director at Sage Group, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the Sage Foundation to support technology entrepreneurs and drive meaningful corporate social responsibility. She has also held Board Director roles within FinTech and Responsible Finance organisations committed to increasing access to fair and inclusive financial services. Her cross-sector experience makes her a sought-after keynote speaker for audiences across financial services, technology, sport, defence and the public sector.

Vicky has contributed as a BBC Newspaper Reviewer, spoken for Inspiring Women and mentored emerging female leaders across industries. Expanding her communication and storytelling experience even further, she made her critically acclaimed West End debut as Narrator in *Girlfriends*, set on an RAF Bomber Command base during the Second World War, a role that reflects both her confidence on stage and her deep connection to military heritage.

Honours & Recognition

Vicky was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2004 for operational service and her commitment to RAF Waddington. In 2014, she was subsequently appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her service to RAF Benson and to adaptive sport. These honours recognise her sustained leadership, operational excellence and commitment to social impact.
